About the base planner
A self-sufficient base is the quiet goal of every Palworld run — one that grows its own food, feeds its own workers, and keeps humming while you're off exploring. The bottleneck is almost always food: hungry Pals stop working and their sanity drops, so before you scale a base up you need to know it can out-produce what its workers eat. This planner turns that into simple numbers.
Tell it how many Pals live at the base and what staple you want to grow — berries are the classic starter, wheat and lettuce come later — and it works out how much food the base burns each day, how many plantations that takes, and roughly how many Planting, Watering, and Gathering Pals you need to run them. Food values come straight from the game's item data, and the crew recommendations are drawn from real work-suitability levels, so the Pals it suggests genuinely are your fastest options. The two rates it can't read from the files — how quickly Pals get hungry and how much a plantation yields — are left as adjustable inputs, so you can dial the model in to match your own base rather than trust a made-up constant.
Log in and the crew lists highlight the Pals you've already caught, so you can see whether you're ready to go self-sufficient or still need to catch a good farmer. Pair it with the workforce optimizer to staff the rest of the base, the passive planner to give your farmers Serious and Artisan for faster work, and the interactive map's base finder to settle somewhere with the resources you need close at hand.
Good to know
How many farming Pals do I need?
It depends on base size and what you're growing. The planner turns your base size and chosen staple into a plantation count and a Planting / Watering / Gathering crew, then names your best Pals for each role.
Are the numbers exact?
The food values and work levels come straight from the game data. The two rates — how fast Pals get hungry and how much a plantation yields — vary with setup, so they're adjustable inputs with sensible defaults you can tune to your base.
What keeps a base self-sufficient?
A staple you can grow (berries, wheat, lettuce), enough plantations to out-produce what your workers eat, and Pals that can plant, water, and gather so the loop runs without you.
