IV / stat checker

Wondering if that Pal you caught is a keeper? Punch in its level and stats and we'll grade its hidden Talents against the game's real stat formula.

Leave Souls and Condense at 0 for a freshly-caught Pal. Base stats are from the game data.

About the IV checker

Every Pal in Palworld is born with a set of hidden Talents — the game's version of IVs. Each of HP, Attack and Defense gets a private roll from 0 to 100, and that roll translates into up to a 30% stat bonus at the top end. It's why two Pals of the same species and level can have visibly different stats, and why a lucky catch (or a well-bred egg) is worth hanging on to. The trouble is the game never shows you the Talent directly — only the final stats.

This checker works backwards from those final stats. Tell it the Pal, its level, and the HP, Attack and Defense you see on the status screen, and it applies the game's real stat formula — the same base values we pull from the data files, scaled by level and the Talent bonus — to estimate each roll and grade it from E to S. If you've already poured Pal Souls into a stat or condensed the Pal to raise its star rank, pop those in too so the maths lines up; for a freshly-caught Pal you can leave them at zero. One thing to keep in mind: Talents barely nudge a low-level Pal's stats, so the reading is fuzzy until around level 25 and razor-sharp by the higher levels.

Found a keeper? Send it to the passive breeding planner to stack the right passives on top of those great stats, check where its species spawns on the map, or line it up against the rest of the roster in the tier lists.

Good to know

What are IVs in Palworld?

Each Pal is born with a hidden "Talent" from 0 to 100 for HP, Attack and Defense — a roll that adds up to a 30% stat bonus at 100. Two Lambballs of the same level can have noticeably different stats because of it.

How do I read my Pal's stats?

Open the Pal's status screen in-game for its current HP, Attack and Defense, and note its level. Enter those here and we'll estimate each Talent.

Why is the estimate a range at low levels?

IVs barely move stats at low levels, so the numbers round to the same value across many Talents. Check a Pal around level 25+ for a sharp reading.
