The Best Work Pals for Every Job
Jul 10, 2026
The strongest Pal for every work suitability in Palworld 1.0, from Kindling to Farming — plus how to rank your own box.
Every base you build runs on the Pals working it, and the right worker in the right slot is the difference between a smooth operation and a pile of half-finished chores. Here's the strongest Pal for each work suitability in Palworld 1.0 — best pick first, then the rest of the crew worth keeping around.
With 204 base Pals and 84 variants in the 1.0 roster, there's real competition for every job now. You won't have the number-one pick for everything early on, and that's fine — put your strongest Pals on whatever job is your current bottleneck, and let the rest fill in around them. When in doubt, the workforce tool will rank whoever's actually in your box.
Kindling
Fire powers your forge, furnace, and cook pot. Lead with Renjishi, then Dupin, Flaracle, Blazamut, and Faleris. Keep at least one strong kindler on hand — smelting and cooking both stall without it.
Watering
For farms and any production line that needs a steady soak, Shaolong tops the list, followed by Jormuntide, Neptilius, Ghangler, and Ophydia.
Planting
Seeds in the ground, crops on the table. Dandilord leads, with Lyleen, Ophydia, Carnibora, and Mycora close behind. Pair a planter with a gatherer and your kitchen just about stocks itself.
Generating Electricity
Keep the lights and production lines on with Orserk, backed by Dynamoff, Azurmane, Grizzbolt, and Beakon. You'll lean on this one hard once your benches start drawing power.
Handiwork
The workhorse job — most crafting benches lean on it, so you want depth here. Solenne is your best hands, then Selyne, Anubis, Dandilord, and Flaracle. Not sure who in your box does this best? The workforce tool ranks your whole collection by any suitability.
Gathering
For berries, wool, eggs, and drops, put Jetragon to work, or Hartalis, Lyleen, Venusa, and Braloha. It's the job that quietly keeps your storage topped up, so give it a dependable body.
Lumbering
Timber comes fastest from Celesdir, with Hartalis, Bastigor, Necromus, and Paladius right behind. Wood is constant early-game currency, so a fast lumberer pays for itself.
Mining
Ore and stone fall quickest to Aegidron, then Astegon, Blazamut, Knocklem, and Anubis.
Cooling
Cold storage and incubators want Bastigor first, then Frostallion, Whalaska, Icelyn, and Wumpo.
Transporting
Hauling goods to storage is Knocklem's specialty, along with Dualith, Eidrolon, Wumpo, and Beakon. Skimp here and finished goods sit on the ground instead of landing in your chests.
Farming
Ranch jobs and drops come easiest with Beegarde, then Foxcicle, Shroomer, Sibelyx, and Cremis. Ranch Pals produce while they idle, which makes them some of your most hands-off income.
Medicine Production & Oil Extraction
We don't hand out a fixed top five for these two — the best pick shifts with the roster and your setup, so we let the numbers do the talking. Pop over to the workforce tool and it'll rank every Pal for either job, exactly like it does for the ones above.
Where to go next
Half the battle is knowing who's already in your box. Sort your own Pals by any job with the workforce ranker, and when you want the big-picture standings, our tier lists lay it all out.
