Those little effigies you keep spotting in caves and on clifftops aren't just scenery — they're one of the easiest ways to catch more Pals, more reliably. Here's why you want every one you can find.

What a Lifmunk Effigy actually does

Effigies feed your capture power. Turn them in at the statue and your capture power goes up a notch — and higher capture power means better odds every single time you throw a sphere at a Pal.

• The boost is permanent and applies to every capture from then on.
• It stacks: the more effigies you offer, the stronger your odds get.
• Handing them in costs you nothing but the effigies themselves, so there's no reason to sit on a pile of them.

Named after the Lifmunk they're shaped like, each effigy is a small collectible tucked into the corners of the world.

Why you want all of them

Capture power is quietly one of the best early investments in the game. Every point makes the whole loop easier:

• Fewer wasted spheres per catch — you save materials and time.
• A real shot at tougher, rarer Pals instead of watching them break free.
• Less white-knuckle frustration chasing something like Anubis when the odds are already tilted your way.

You don't need a target number in your head. Just grab every effigy you pass and keep turning them in as you go — it adds up on its own.

Finding effigies on the map

• Filter the map down to just effigies so nothing else clutters the view.
• Pair the Effigy layer with the Fast Travel layer to plan a clean pickup route between statues.
• Knock out the effigies in a region while you're already there for spawns or ore — no wasted trips.
