Paldeck Completion Guide: Catch 'Em All in 1.0

Jul 10, 2026

The 1.0 Paldeck runs 288 deep — here's how to catch the base Pals, breed the tricky variants, and track your way to a full set.

Catching one of everything is the long game in Palworld, and 1.0 just made the list a good bit longer. Here's exactly what you're chasing and how to close it out without losing track.

The 1.0 numbers

Palworld 1.0's Paldeck comes to 288 entries — that's 204 base Pals plus 84 elemental and subspecies variants. That's a real jump from the roughly 216 entries before the update, so even a full pre-1.0 Paldeck has fresh gaps to fill.

  • 204 base Pals — the core roster, most of which you catch out in the wild.
  • 84 variants — element and subspecies twists on a base Pal. Think Celaray and its variant Celaray Lux, or Blazamut and Blazamut Ryu.

Variants are where it gets tricky

Most base Pals you can simply track down and catch. Variants are the puzzle. A chunk of those 84 don't roam the wild at all — the only way to add them to your Paldeck is to breed for them.

A few to keep on your radar: Bellanoir Libero, Beakon Cryst, Broncherry Aqua, Bushi Noct, and Chillet Ignis — each a twist on a familiar face.

For the ones you breed, our breeding calculator is your workbench: put in two parents to see the child, or a target child to see which parents make it. When your goal is a few generations away, the breeding-path finder maps the shortest chain to get there.

A word on Genetic Recombination

1.0 adds a new breeding layer called Genetic Recombination on top of the classic system. At a high level, it lets you fuse Legendary genes and traits into offspring — a way to shape what a child inherits beyond the usual parent-child pairing.

Two honest caveats. The exact odds are server-dependent and aren't publicly documented, so don't trust anyone quoting you hard percentages. And the breeding calculator predicts classic species pairings — it does not forecast recombination results. Use it for the species math and treat recombination as the extra layer on top.

Track your progress

Nobody keeps 288 entries straight in their head. Let the site carry it:

  • Mark everything you catch in your collection so you always know what's left.
  • Watch the finish line on your completion page — it counts base Pals and variants toward the full 288.
  • When you're hunting a specific Pal, flip on the Spawns layer on the map to see exactly where it lives.

What to prioritize

A friendly order that keeps your momentum up:

  • Sweep the base Pals in each region as you explore — they're the bulk of the count and the easiest wins.
  • Bump your capture power with effigies early so the rare ones don't slip away.
  • Save the breeding-only variants for once you've got a stable of parents to work with.

Where to go next

Open your collection to see your gaps, check the completion tracker for the road to 288, and fire up the breeding calculator for the variants you can't just catch. Catch 'em, log 'em, and come holler when you hit 100%.
