Sunreach Sky Islands in Palworld 1.0: How to Get Up There and What's Waiting

Jul 18, 2026

Palworld 1.0's floating archipelago: how to reach Sunreach the first time, plus its tower boss, ore nodes, supply drops, and new Pals.

Palworld 1.0 didn't just add new ground ÔÇö it added new sky. Sunreach is the update's new region: an archipelago of floating islands held aloft by Paldium energy, hanging in the air between the endgame you already know and the World Tree. Here's how to get up there for the first time, and what's waiting once you do.

What Sunreach is

Think of Sunreach as the bridge region. It sits between the old endgame and the World Tree finale, and it carries real progression weight: Sunreach has its own tower boss, and clearing that tower is one of the required steps on the road to Awakening ÔÇö the World Tree barrier only drops once every tower across Palpagos, Feybreak, and Sunreach is down.

How to get up there the first time

Here's the part we need to label carefully: the exact route into Sunreach isn't something we can read out of the game's data files, so what follows is community-reported ÔÇö consistent across a lot of players, but community-reported all the same.

Players report that Sunreach opens after you defeat the Feybreak tower boss. Once that fight is won, a portal reportedly appears at the top of Feybreak's tower ÔÇö ride a flyer to the peak, step through, and the sky islands are yours. Community guides also agree on the flip side: you can't simply fly there early, because the islands stay hidden until that portal is open, no matter how high your Jetragon climbs. Reports put the wild Pals at level 60 and up once you arrive, so pack like you mean it.

Getting around once you're up

Island-hopping is the whole texture of the region, and a good flying mount is the comfortable answer ÔÇö players without one report floating teleport orbs scattered across the islands that warp you between them. The real quality-of-life unlock is the Wing Pack at technology level 80: it makes sky traversal far easier, but it is not required to arrive, so don't sit on the ground waiting for it. Our Wing Pack guide has the details.

What's waiting in the sky

  • New Pals. Sunreach's residents are part of the 73 new Paldeck entries that came with 1.0 ÔÇö browse the roster in our Paldex or start with the new Pals guide, and log what you catch in your collection.
  • Sky-island ore nodes. Sunreach has ore of its own up in the clouds, and our interactive map has an Ore layer built straight from the 1.0 data ÔÇö plan the mining run before you launch.
  • Sky-island supply drops. Keep your eyes up while you travel; the sky delivers.
  • The tower. Clear it ÔÇö you'll need it beaten for the World Tree anyway.

Once Sunreach's tower falls, you're most of the way to 1.0's finale, so pick up the trail in our World Tree unlock guide ÔÇö and come holler at the community with whatever you find up in the clouds.
