What's New in Palworld 1.0

Jul 10, 2026

The 1.0 launch is here — a bigger Paldeck, a whole new breeding layer, the World Tree, and reworked bosses. Here's what actually changed.

Palworld's 1.0 launch is the biggest the game has ever gotten, and it touches nearly everything — the roster, breeding, the map, and the bosses. If you're coming back after a while away (or starting fresh), here's the honest rundown of what's new and where to dig in.

We've already re-pulled every stat, drop, spawn, and combo straight from the 1.0 game data, so everything on PalHoller reflects the new version.

A much bigger Paldeck

The roster grew a lot. The Paldeck now sits at 204 base Pals plus 84 elemental and subspecies variants — 288 entries in all, up from around 216 before. The variants are element or form twists on Pals you already know — think along the lines of Blazamut Ryu, Chillet Ignis, or Blazehowl Noct — and several of them are only reachable through specific breeding combos.

Every one of them is live in the Paldeck with full stats, work suitabilities, drops, and spawn points. If you're chasing completion, the collection tracker and completion tools already know the new totals.

Genetic Recombination: a new breeding layer

The headline feature is Genetic Recombination. The classic system you know is untouched — pick two parents, get an egg, chase the passives you want. Recombination adds a new layer on top: fusing genes from Legendary Pals into an offspring so it inherits Legendary-derived traits.

One honest caveat: the exact odds and outputs of Recombination are server-config dependent, and Pocketpair hasn't published the per-trait numbers. So the "perfect" bloodline on one server won't necessarily match another, and no calculator can predict those trait fusions yet — ours included.

What we can do accurately is the classic species side. Our breeding calculator tells you exactly which two parents make which Pal (unique combos and all — we captured the new 1.0 variant combos), the breeding-path finder plots the shortest chain to a target, and the passive-breeding tool gives you the odds of passing the passives you want down the line.

The World Tree and a reworked map

1.0 adds a big new World Tree region to explore, alongside broader map changes. Fast-travel points, chests, ore nodes, eggs, dungeons, skill-fruit trees, and Lifmunk Effigies have all shifted — including brand-new mining nodes out in the sky-island and World Tree areas.

Our interactive map has been redrawn from the 1.0 world data, with toggle layers for every one of those. If you're hunting a specific resource or collectible, flip on the layer and go.

Reworked bosses and sanctuaries

The alpha bosses, tower bosses, and sanctuaries got a pass in 1.0, with adjusted lineups and locations. The alpha and boss markers on the map reflect the new placements, so you can plan a route to the fights (and captures) you still need.
